[WHO’S BAD] The most badasss female DJs

As it is Women’s day, I couldn’t help but write about some of the most amazing female DJs out there. They are fearless, crazy and they have definitely left a mark in an industry ruled by men. I have picked up three female artists that inspire me and that made it to the top through hard work, passion and an amazing sense of transforming music as it is. Who’s bad? They are for sure.

When Jennifer Lee aka TOKiMONSTA has lost her sense of perceiving sounds like the rest of us, due to the Moyamoya disease in late 2015 which led to her losing her comprehension skills, the artist has decided to let her pure passion for music guide her. She launched her Lune Rouge album shortly after recovery after two brain surgeries, collaborating with Anderson Paak and Justin Timberlake, as well as getting back on stage at many festivals around the world.

When talking about techno and house DJs, you cannot simply mention Francesca. She started as Jackie Misfit in the clubs of London, and one of her most exquisite signatures as an artist is the live performance where she incorporates her voice and experimenting with electronic music. Francesa was the main speaker at the first panel about women and music at Music Ibiza Summit in Ibiza 2013, and ever since, she has become an icon that inspired many other female artists.

When you say Magda, it’s not all about music. Fashion icon, art lover and crazy artist. And by crazy, I mean one of the most elegant, mesmerizing and always full of surprises one. Ok, maybe crazy is not the perfect word, but you get it. Label owner, and producer, Magda is all about avant-garde and real-life concepts, utilizing a broad sound pallet and lending itself to live performance. With a schedule full of bookings around the world, Magda doesn’t seem to want to stop very soon.
